We are currently seeking a Fleet Operations Manager/Executive to join the Messer Equipment Rental Division in Cincinnati, OH.The Messer Rental Division operates as an integrated and integral supplier to Messer Construction Company's operations teams, craft professionals and its subcontracts for high quality construction equipment, general tools, select construction services and consumable items.
This person will be responsible for managing a team of direct reports that will includeService Managers, Service Technicians and Parts Procurement Associates.The ideal candidate will have experience managing and growing people, as well as being able to attract and retain talent to the organization.
What You Will Do:
Maximize the use of Messer’s owned fleet.
Collaborate with the Equipment Manager to ensure a robust fleet management plan is in place and being managed for both depreciable and non-depreciable assets.
Perform Lease/Buy analysis to optimize lifecycle costs.
Lead Fleet team to create, track and manage actionable goals and implement change.
Manage, organize and execute the equipment inventory process and report results.
Identify new product offerings for the Rental Division
Co-manage the capital purchase request plan and justifications with the Rental Division Equipment Manager to be presented to and approved by Messer Inc.
Co-manage, execute and report the disposal of all assets to maximize the return of disposal (Disposal plans)
Review and execute of all service agreements pertaining to tower cranes, RT cranes, buck hoists, scaffolding contracts, temporary HVAC services, required by projects, ensuring terms and conditions meet Messer standards.
With the fleet team, utilize the company's telematics platform to monitor fleet health and compliance.
What You Will Bring:
Associate degree (or higher) in related preferred field
5+ years in fleet management and a Certified Equipment Manager accreditation OR 7+ years in fleet management role OR 10+ years in product support role for a heavy equipment dealership or OEM
