We are currently seeking a Self-Performance Project Manager with a passion for managing and driving results with our professional Craft force to join our team in Nashville, TN.
The primary responsibility of this position is to manage and drive our Direct Work project(s) to successful completion through a safe work environment, quality construction, effective LEAN planning and scheduling, cost management, collaborate with project stakeholders, and superior customer service.  The candidate must have demonstrated familiarity with Concrete and Carpentry construction and excel in our ‘point of attack’ management approach.  The ideal candidate will also possess a desire for growth, long-term thinking, and relationship building skills.
 
What You Will Do:
  • Support the Messer project team.
  • Manage our Craft force as well as Direct Work subcontractor and vendor relationships.
  • Manage and drive our Zero Injury safety program.
  • Implement the Quality Leadership System.
  • Manage and drive the Direct Work project schedule.
  • Establish Direct Work budget and control costs.
  • Administer Direct Work subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, etc.
  • Establish project-specific controls, monitor and reports.

What You Will Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience with commercial construction projects (Healthcare, Higher Education, Industrial, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Management or related field
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours
